Meet Erin, the Woman Behind Erin’s Fine Foods Catering and Deli in Pittsburgh, PA

About the Business

Erin Gauntner is the chef and owner of Erin’s Fine Foods and Erin’s Fine Foods Deli. Established in 2004, Erin’s Fine Foods has served up tasty and unique dishes for weddings, showers, dinner parties, and special events for the Greater Pittsburgh Community.

Erin’s Culinary History

A native of Pittsburgh, Erin has been part of the culinary industry for over 15 years. A 2000 graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu’s International Culinary Academy, Erin is formally trained in International and French cooking. Before opening her own catering business, Erin worked in a variety of roles throughout the culinary industry. Her experience includes line cook at The Fondue Stube, and breakfast and line cook at The Perfect Run, both located in The Vail Resort in Vail, Colorado. While there, Erin honed her skills in food preparation and presentation.

After working in Vail, Erin returned to Pittsburgh and worked at the Bradley House of Catering while teaching a series of classes called Keeping it Simple to local residents. From 2001 – 2004, she worked as a saucier chef at Highland Country Club. From 2004 -2007, Erin worked part-time at Highland Country Club as the banquet chef while building clientele with her catering business.

The Beginning of Erin’s Fine Foods

Erin’s passion and flair for cooking are continuously evolving, and in 2013 she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of opening a small eatery. In May 2014, Erin opened her second business, Erin’s Fine Foods Deli, in downtown Pittsburgh.

In her free time, Erin enjoys traveling for inspiration, hiking, and snowboarding. She is an avid runner and has completed nine full marathons and over 30 half marathons.
